Functional workwear, since 1927.
It all began in Haderslev, with an inspiring journey to America and a pair of denim overalls. Fuelled by a passion for trade and industry, combined with a clear vision to develop extremely durable workwear with a specific wearing purpose in focus, ENGEL Workwear was born. One of the first of its kind in Denmark, ENGEL Workwear marked the start of the F. Engel Group; an innovative, successful family business, which pioneered the development of workwear in Denmark, since 1927.

Producing high-quality workwear since 1927, ENGEL Workwear is now run by fourth-generation brothers, Lars and John Engel, who are as passionate about creating durable workwear of the highest standard–with the right fit and exceptional functionality–as their founders were. True to tradition and F. Engel’s family roots, the business is naturally evolving with the fifth generation of the Engel family joining it.

A greener future
ENGEL is always considering how to contribute in a positive way to the global climate challenge. Now we are launching new products, made of 50 % recycled polyester. We are using fibers, made of recycled materials, including plastic bottles. These fibers are 100 % traceable, which guarantee that our products are containing the correct type of fiber and in the right amounts.

Facts about F. Engel K/S
ENGEL workwear is part of the Danish company F. Engel K/S- a family-owned company founded in 1927, and which is currently owned by 3rd generation Carl D. Engel and 4th generation John C. Engel and Lars C. Engel, who manage the company together with CFO Jørgen Lauritzen.
