ENGEL workwear manufactures workwear for many sectors where employee safety is a key focus area.
ENGEL Safety is used in the following:
- Railway track work
- Construction sites
Keep your employees safe – equip them with high-visibility workwear
Safety wear from ENGEL is certified in accordance with the European standard EN ISO 20471.
Performance requirements as regards colour, retroreflection, minimum areas, distribution and location of the reflective material are covered by the standard.
The highest visibility in traffic is achieved by having the largest possible reflective and fluorescent area on the safety wear.
If special protection is required in addition to increased visibility in accordance with EN ISO 20471, the ENGEL Safety+ series has clothing which is flame-resistant, antistatic, chemical-repellent and which protect against thermal hazards. Many of these products are also available in fluorescent and reflective materials which comply with the EN ISO 20471 standard. Read more about our protective clothing.

- Choose colour combination
EN ISO 20471 comprises three safety classes
The classification is based on the minimum areas of fluorescent material and reflective material.
The fluorescent areas provide a high degree of visibility in daylight, while the reflective areas ensure visibility in the dark.
- Products in Class 3 = highest visibility
- Products in Class 1 = lowest visibility
It is the risk zone which determines whether products from Class 1, 2 or 3 should be used to increase the level of safety for the worker.
