Shirts for work
The shirt has been a part of the wardrobe since antiquity. Back then it was used either as a night shirt or as underclothing beneath a garment. By the middle of the 19th century, the first work shirts appeared, but a lot has happened since then, and today shirts are practical to use for anything from daily use to gong to a party, depending on fabric quality, appearance and function.
Shirts for professional use
Often a shirt is selected if you want to look a bit nicer, even if you perform physical work. Perhaps one also likes the quality of the fabric better, which feels heavier than for example a T-shirt. Our shirts are designed for professional use and are in superior quality. ENGEL carries a number of work shirts, depending on needs.
Shirts in a number of grades
ENGEL Workwear carries shirts with both short and long sleeves in a number of grades. Shirts manufactured in a mixed polyester/cotton fabric are especially light and hard wearing and with high drying performance, since the polyester does not absorb water.
Shirts in 100% cotton are very comfortable. Cotton has a lot of benefits such as being non-irritating to the skin, breathability and a high capacity for moisture absorption. At the same time, cotton has the characteristic that it is more heat resistant than mixed fabrics. 100% cotton shirts are suitable for crafts such as mechanics and metal workers where sparks may occur, but flame retardant shirts are not a requirement.
Safety shirts
If your work on the one hand requires that you must look neat and presentable, but on the other that you have safety needs concerning visibility, then our Hi-Vis Safety shirt is a really good choice. This is a shirt in a mix-fabric grade with the highest security classification (Class 3). In addition, our Hi-Vis shirts have sun filter protection that protects against the sun’s UV rays.
So, you don’t need to think about whether you are visible enough - or whether you are wearing the correct classification. That’s all taken care of with a shirt from our Safety series. All shirts from Engel Workwear are extremely functional and with pockets split into e.g. writing utensils or small tools.
